Meet Sarah Bellini

Originally from Germany, Sarah is a Pilates, yoga, and breathwork instructor devoted to helping people reconnect to their bodies and come home to themselves.

With a background in dance and years of experience in the wellness space, she creates experiences that are both grounding and empowering — blending mindful movement, breath, nervous system support, and somatic awareness. Her work goes beyond fitness, guiding clients to feel more connected, confident, and at ease in their bodies.

Sarah works with both individuals and groups, including corporate and wellness communities, supporting stress reduction, improved mobility, and overall wellbeing. She is especially passionate about helping people navigate moments of feeling disconnected or out of alignment, offering tools to restore balance, clarity, and resilience.

While her work is inclusive of all, Sarah also holds dedicated spaces for women to reconnect to their feminine energy, rebuild trust within themselves, and step into a deeper sense of confidence and self-expression.

Q&A with Sarah Bellini

Behind the Retreats: Sarah's Story & Expertise
If you are comfortable answering, what are some of the events or challenges that led you to develop your work?

Many of the experiences that led me to this work came from my own journey of navigating periods of overwhelm, uncertainty, and disconnection from my sense of worth and inner power.

Over the years, I’ve experienced heartbreak, major life transitions, and the challenge of moving far away from my culture, family, and support system. There were moments when I felt lost, disconnected from myself, and unsure of my path. Through those experiences, I discovered the profound impact that movement, breathwork, mindfulness, and community can have on healing and reconnecting to ourselves.

What began as my own search for grounding and self-trust eventually evolved into a passion for supporting others on their journeys. Today, my work is rooted in creating spaces where people can slow down and reconnect to their bodies, build resilience, and remember the strength and wisdom that already exists within them.

Who inspired you when you first started on this journey?

I was deeply inspired by women who embodied confidence, authenticity, and self-trust in a way that gave others permission to do the same. Some Dance mentors and Yoga teachers inspired me to realize that the qualities we admire in others often exist within us too—we sometimes just need the right guidance, community, and experiences to remember them. That realization continues to inspire the work I do today.

What were three of your favorite books that helped you get clear on your path?

Aw great question! Many.

The Universe has your back – Gabrielle Bernstein

The Alchemist – Paolo Coelho

The 4 Agreements – Don Miguel Ruiz

What are some ways you manage work life balance?

Work-life balance is something I continue to prioritize intentionally. One of the biggest ways I support myself is by maintaining my own workout and wellness routines, even when life gets busy. These routines help me stay grounded and connected to myself.

I also try to create enough space in my schedule for rest, relationships, and the things that bring me joy outside of work.

Where do you live now and is this your dream location and why?

LA. In some ways, yes, I always dreamed of living here. LA has given me the freedom to explore who I am, pursue my passions, and dream bigger than I ever thought possible.

I feel inspired by the energy, diversity, and opportunities here. At the same time, staying connected to my roots is incredibly important to me. I return to Europe two or three times a year to spend time with family and friends, reconnect with my culture, and nurture that part of myself.

How have your travels impacted inspired your life and or work perspective?

Traveling has truly shaped who I am. I believe travel is one of the greatest forms of education because it teaches lessons that can’t be learned in a classroom.

Experiencing different cultures, perspectives, and ways of life has helped me become more open-minded, adaptable, and connected to people from all walks of life. It has taught me the value of curiosity, community, and stepping outside of my comfort zone.

What do you enjoy doing in your free time?

I really enjoy spending my free time with loved ones and being in nature, especially anywhere close to the beach or ocean. I love hiking, reading, and traveling, and one of my biggest passions is dancing—it’s something that really makes me feel alive and connected to myself.

Where did you spend most of your childhood?

I spent most of my childhood in Germany, where I was raised, while also spending a lot of time in Italy with my father’s side of the family. Growing up between these two cultures gave me a deep appreciation for different ways of living and celebrating life.

Tell us about your current or past pets and what they mean to you in your daily life.

I grew up with German Shepherds and absolutely loved being around them. They were such loyal companions and a big part of my childhood. These days, my partner has the cutest dog, and I’ve become completely attached. I honestly can’t imagine life without her anymore! Pets bring so much companionship and unconditional love to my everyday life, and I love having that presence around me.

What are your favorite three movies of all time and why?

Definitely Titanic — I know it’s a classic choice but I love the epic love story, the adventure, and the reminder to live life fully and courageously.

I also love empowering movies centered around strong women, such as Eat Pray Love, because it celebrates self-discovery and finding your own path.

Little Women — for independence, ambition, and sisterhood.

I’m sure there are more, but those are the first that come to mind!

What are your morning practices and routines that set you up to win every day?

My mornings usually start with a quick meditation, even if it’s just five minutes. I like to take a moment to check in with myself and ask how I’m actually feeling and what I need that day, rather than jumping straight into my to-do list. From there, I set an intention for the day 🙂
