Behind the Retreats: Glenn’s Story & Expertise
If you are comfortable answering, what are some of the events or challenges that led you to develop your work?
Some of the events and challenges that led me to develop my own work were that I felt working for a well-known spiritual leader I would be sub-categorized and not recognized for my own achievements. Being very grateful for the opportunities working directly with Dr. Joe Dispenza teaching his work as an NCS consultant, and learning more about neuroscience, it became divine timing to take the next step forward to showcase myself. For me, my life has been an evolutionary process. Much of what I know today comes from a lifetime of experiences, some very spiritual, some very practical and some very visceral. The stepping out precipitated an initiation of the “Dark Night of the Soul,” a period that lasted better than ten years. Divorce, severe financial loss to dinners of Rahmen Noodles every night to keep a mortgage payment and debt, having to leave my career to a on the job sustained injury and no income, death of both parents within months during Covid but not related to it, and years of court battles to sustain a relationship with a co-parented daughter and that wasn’t even touching the highlights of this period. It tested me to do my own “work” while propelling my spiritual abilities to open wider.
Who inspired you when you first started on this journey?
When I first started on my journey of spiritual life, I was a young boy. As an alter server in a Roman Catholic Church till the age of sixteen, I could repeat the ceremonial mass almost word for word. Although that might seem quite remarkable, I knew there was more than religion. I had questions, many questions about everything religious and the answers that I was told really did not resonate with me. Something innate in me said there’s something more than religion, and I was going to find out. Astrology was something of interest, and for some time I dove down that rabbit hole as a teenager. During that time period, my girlfriend and I had been in Virgina Beach on a weekend vacation with her parents. On the boardwalk were two palm readers. We decided to each get a separate reading from each person. Later when we conferred together to talk about our results, astounded by us, our readings were exactly the same! The predictions that they had provided us came true, word for word. Married to each other, two children of the same gender. I later realized that the palmists had been part of the Edgar Cayce’s A.R. E. which was based in Virgina Beach. These experiences lit my fire hot on the discovery of more information becoming the perpetual student of spirituality and metaphysics.
What were three of your favorite books that helped you get clear on your path?
Three books that help me to get clear on my path cannot be limited to just three, maybe 30!! I think it’s important to understand that every book should “Bread Crumb” you to the next thing. Picking up just a couple of books and saying that I fully understand the material is not being conscious of what is knowledge? We as humans learn best when we can apply the words that we read, to actualize it beyond just knowing. Different people can teach us different things, and that can be a real individualistic experience, but if I were to recommend three books that everyone should have in their library for continual reference, it would be “The Four Agreements, Secrets of the Lost Mode of Prayer, and The art of Letting Go.”
What were some of the signs or challenges that first brought you to this aspect of your life’s work?
Some of the signs and challenges that first brought me deep in this aspect of my life’s work was simply falling flat on my face and having to dust myself off and begin life in another way over and over again. I never quit, yet many times I never thought I would ever survive life, I persevered. Having become a father at 20 years old, just married and working two full time jobs as police officer and an optician, things were bound to break, and they did. After our second child was born and me working two jobs to make ends meet, I wasn’t home to often. Divorce at 23 years old left me financially and mentally broken. This was the beginning of a difficult life that I had chosen at 18 that I didn’t fully understand. I had to search deeper to find something to change what was happening to me. At nearly 50 years old, I realized life was happening “for me and not to me.” Things started to turn around, it was going within to find all the answers and not searching outward to fix the life I had chosen.
What are some ways you manage work-life balance?
For many, many decades, there was no work life balance. Making money was not an option but a requirement to fulfill all the obligations I willfully accepted as my own. As I learned to change my perceptions of life, and as I grew up spiritually, out of chaos came order. Today I fully enjoy spending time power lifting in the gym three days a week and as a non-negotiable I carve out time to sit in stillness, in nature, meditation and to vacation in spots that rejuvenate my energy and put myself first, not in a self-centered way, but to ensure that my cup is always full as so I may be of the highest service to others.
Where do you live now? Is this your dream location, and why?
I live in Connecticut, USA and this is the general area in which I grew up and set roots of a family. However, I have extensively traveled across the United States, Canada and Mexico. This isn’t my forever place of home but allows me to raise my teenage daughter in her place of comfort as I have set my eyes on somewhere of the Southwest of United States as a contender for the next decade or so as a place to reside.
How have your travels impacted & inspired your life and/or work perspective?
My travels have had a big influence and inspiration over my work as a spiritual teacher. As one who resonates with different frequencies of energy, I can assure you that Mount Shasta has a significant difference to the Red Rocks of Sedona in energy. The planet is covered in an energetic overlay of a grid. Certain points have unique energies, and that has much to do with the geology of the specific area. This is why we see temples, pyramids, mountains and sacred sites and unique geological formations as “Hot Spots.” I found that when I spend time in mediation in these places it opens something new in me, it is a remembrance of who I am, inviting me to explore within. These imprints on myself have afforded me great experiences knowing that at some point in my soul’s journey, I have been here before. I fully enjoy bringing my clients, guests and retreat participants to these energetic places so they too can benefit of receiving the gift of energy.
Where did you spend most of your childhood?
I have spent most of my childhood growing up in a blue collar, dual working parent family in Fairfield County in Connecticut, USA. As the youngest child of three and separated better than a decade between me and my siblings, I was mostly left on my own to grow into my own maturity.
What do you enjoy doing in your free time?
In my free time I enjoy driving in my Camaro as a car guy, showing my car in car shows and meeting with other muscle-car owners. I spend three days a week in the gym powerlifting for strength and I also am an actor, having been in 8 movies and one Television series to date. Having a well-rounded social life augments the balance of work and play!
Are you involved with any local or online communities that inspire or support you personally or in your work?
I have a few online communities that support my work on FaceBook where my informative posts are digested, and I have an opportunity to be interviewed by the administrative group holders to further discuss many topics of spirituality and metaphysics. I have also created my own local community where we meet in person at my home where I will provide teachings, ceremonies and gatherings in my backyard by the campfire. I also have a YouTube channel where I podcast inviting many of the people that are also spiritual leaders or channelers as guest speakers. All of them are friends of mine that live all over the world, which makes it fun and informative! The Ascension Star Gate Podcast Series is my broadcast and can be found on YouTube.com.
What are your favorite three movies of all time, and why?
Its pretty funny that I am an actor but not really a movie buff, but if I were to say my favorite films I would go with “Shawshank Redemption” as the motivational storyline of the underdog finally receiving freedom, “The Matrix” because it is a metaphor of modern day reality and “Happy Gilmore” because Adam Sandler is silly and just makes me laugh!
Tell us about your current or past pets and what they mean to you in your daily life.
I am an animal lover, but I do not have any current pets. It’s interest, as a channeler I get to talk with animals through consciousness and “Light Language.” I have found that non-domesticated animals are hyper focused in one area, survival. Everything they do, socially, hunting and rearing young all revolves are the survival of their species. From mouse to ram, insect to bird they are proud and have something to offer us if we pay attention to them. My belief is that animals are to be free, unchained, untethered and unkept to evolve at their own pace. We can learn more about ourselves from their actions.
What are your morning practices and routines that set you up to win every day?
My morning practices are non-negotiable, meaning, it is a must do without exception in a positive manner. As soon as I begin to realize that I am waking into my body, I begin my heart focused breathing and go into a state of gratitude. After I have been in that state for better than fifteen minutes, I set my positive intentions in a way that what I want to happen has already taken place. Throughout my morning, as I prepare my beverage or sip on a protein drink I am in a state of gratitude for all that I am and all that I have. After that I get my daughter facilitated for school and then mediate for a few minutes to see if spirit or my guides have anything that needs my attention. This is a daily practice.
What are you passionate about that most people don’t know?
For over three decades I have been a public servant in the capacity of a police officer, a firefighter/EMT, a Fire Marshal and a technical rescue specialist. I have been a leader to bring safety to the masses in many ways, now my passion of service is to bring the masses to their authenticity. When you as a person strip away all the masks, all the hidden personas we hide behind, the very best gift rises to the surface, your authentic self. It is the most liberating thing a human being can experience in their life, to be authentically real in every way. Leading people to discover themselves is the best gift anyone could be afforded to receive in my humble opinion.
What else would you like your readers and potential retreat participants to know about you or that you might like to know about another retreat leader?
There are many layers to the depth of who I am. My life experiences, my traumas, my achievements are as high as the highest mountain and as low as the bottom of the deepest ocean. That’s what makes me relatable. I haven’t read a book and suddenly the epiphany occurs or has had this monumental experience that instantly changed my life. It’s been a life-long series of non-stop adaptations to circumstances and sometimes learning the lesson two or three times before the knowledge turned into wisdom. I lead with my heart, with the wisdom that is innately instilled without judgement, and I enjoy sharing that heart centeredness in every version that comes into play. I don’t consider myself a master, but a perpetual student of life itself, embodying humility, pride, courage and the strength to show others that they to can lead from their own heart’s wisdom. I honor you as the mirror of myself, we have much to teach each other about who we really are.
