Retreat Summary
Five days on the beach for couples who still love each other and are ready to find their way back to trust.
Every long partnership meets its ruptures: the argument that never fully resolved, the hurt that went quiet, the distance that slowly became normal. Left unrepaired, those moments settle into stored resentment and disconnection.
At Zel Punta Cana, on the Caribbean shore of the Dominican Republic, From Rupture to Repair gives you and your partner five days to come back to each other. Through Kundalini yoga, live music and chanting, breathwork, practical teaching and guided connection exercises, you’ll learn why ruptures happen, how to pause before they escalate, and how to repair, so you leave with a shared framework for the years ahead.
The Vibe
Honest. Tender. Embodied. A little sacred. Very human.
This is not couples therapy in a conference room, and nobody is going to put you on the spot in front of strangers. Mornings start with yoga, breath and live music. Then we teach, you practice together, and the afternoons are yours: beach, pool, spa, nap. Each day closes in a small circle of couples who get it.
Is This Retreat For You?
This is probably for you if:
You don’t need to be in crisis, and you don’t need to have it figured out. You just need to be willing to show up for each other.
Meet Alice & Hargo Khalsa
We’re Alice and Hargo Khalsa. We’ve been married six years, together for more than a decade, and we live in Joshua Tree, California, with our son.
Alice is a life coach, writer and mother who has spent seventeen years walking alongside individuals and couples through life’s ruptures, returns and reclamations. Her work weaves trauma-informed coaching, inner child healing, heart-centered communication, somatic practice, Gestalt work, breathwork and Kundalini yoga.

Hargo was raised in a yoga ashram in New Mexico. He has co-facilitated men’s retreats for nearly a decade, hosts a weekly men’s work container, and is a certified NLP and Timeline Therapy™ practitioner trained in Qigong under Grandmaster Sung Baek. He leads the retreat’s live music, mantra and chanting.

Why We're Doing This
We’re human, just like you. We experience rupture, resentment, stuck energy and disconnection in our relationship, and we use these same tools in our own marriage. We’ve learned that no amount of practice replaces honesty, accountability, and courageous, compassionate action.
We don’t see ourselves as having mastered partnership. If we have any mastery at all, it’s in our willingness to keep showing up: to be accountable to ourselves and each other, stay humble, and choose love even when it’s hard.
These are the practices we want to share with you, not as a formula for a perfect relationship, but as tools for finding your way back to each other with greater trust, openness, intimacy and love.

What We'll Actually Talk About
Not lectures. Real conversations about the things couples go through behind closed doors.
-
Why ruptures happen, and why they’re not a sign that something is wrong with you
-
The patterns you each fall into when you feel hurt or unseen
-
How to pause a fight without walking away from each other
-
Saying what you feel and need without blame
-
Giving each other the benefit of the doubt again
-
Where your reactions really come from
-
Repair: what it actually takes to come back together
-
Intimacy, trust, and what you want the next chapter to look like
And probably a few conversations we can’t predict yet. Put a small group of couples together for five days by the ocean, and something good happens.
